I just recently watched a documentary series by the BBC called "The Century of the Self" by Adam Curtis. It explains the origins of the modern day consumer society, capitalist democracy, self identity.. hell, it explains a lot of things! I highly recommend you watch the whole series. This is a great movie... it starts kinda slow, but stick with it.. if it hasn't challenged your beliefs by the end then your brain must be hardwired!

Outfoxed

This is a great documentary about Rupert Murdoch's Fox corporation and it's stranglehold on the world's media. I thought they were bad. I didn't realise quite how bad!

The Take

This documentary shows one of the best examples of the dangers of free market capitalism, and also shows that there are alternatives and that they work. If all you know about Argentina is football and the Falklands, now's the time to learn a little more...

A documentary that claims 9/11 did not happen in the way that we were told by the US government and the mainstream media. This documentary takes a much more scientific approach than "Loose Change".

911 Mysteries

Crap title, but very well made documentary. This one focuses on the collapse of the twin towers and discusses the evidence of a controlled demolition. Whether you believe it or not it's worth a watch.
